We had our first masterpeace event this evening. A holocaust survivor spoke of his experiences during the rise and fall of the Nazi regime and the impact it had on the Jewish people and eventually the all of Europe. The speaker's name was Albert, a professor at the University of Rhode Island, who escaped the prosecution of Jews in Austria.

Albert led his discussion on a hill in the Feinstein Courtyard with an audience of approximately 30 people who were eager to hear him speak. The event was later followed by a powerful candlelit march to the McVinney Courtyard where the audience members placed 900 names of children (written on popsicle sticks) as a memorial for children who died because of the Nazi's Regime.
