Increased hostility in Sudan: An expected outcome?

The precarious situation Sudan has recently seen the expulsion of 16 aid agencies from Sudan. Clearly it is backlash towards the recent indictment and victimization of Sudanese leader Omar Al-Bashir. History has a strange way of repeating itself, and Sudan is no exception. He is a tyrant in a corner and his reaction typifies past men of his kind.

Al Bashir recently called for all aid agencies to leave Sudan within a year. Such an action would millions at risk of starvation nevermind the violence. How can this be? Is this the same Al-Bashir who signed a treaty with a rebel group? The same man who preaches love of his country and decries western influence. Sudan right no especially Darfur, is on a knife edge. With the expulsion of aid organizations catastrophe might be the new word we use for Sudan. A sobering reality.
